For students seeking access to required textbooks, study aids, and the Bluebook:

You can call West Academic at 1-877-888-1330 and speak with a customer service representative to access digital copies of casebooks it publishes.

WoltersKluwer (publishers of Aspen textbooks) and Carolina Academic Press are now making e-book access available to students at schools that have moved to remote instruction. To access required texts from these publishers, students should follow these instructions:

VitalSource Helps Access Instructions:

1.      To get started, students should visit bookshelf.vitalsource.com and log-in or create a Bookshelf account with their institution-provided email address.

2.      Here are instructions on creating a Bookshelf account for both students and instructors.

3.      Once students create an account with an institution-provided email address, they should log in and click on the “Exploretab in the upper left corner of the screen. This tab provides access to the freely available e-textbooks.

For a complete list of VitalSource frequently asked questions regarding access to the VitalSource Helps Program, please visit their site to learn more

Please note that at this time, student downloads are limited to 7 titles and trial access will expire on Monday, May 25th, 2020.

Electronic access to the Bluebook has also been arranged for all St. John’s Law students. Please check your email to find your unique access code.

Finally, West Academic has also granted complementary access to the West Study Aids platform for all St. John’s Law students. You may access the study aids by going to our Online Resources page and selecting “West Study Aids” from the list.

We look forward to continuing to serve you through this time of transition and will update you on any new developments.
