About the Law Library

Mission

The Rittenberg Law Library advances the mission of St. John's University School of Law by providing rich collections and resources, engaging with our faculty and students to support their scholarly and professional endeavors, and creating an atmosphere in which members of the law school community can learn, collaborate, and grow.

To further this mission, the Law Library team works to:

  • Provide a welcoming environment staffed by knowledgeable, service-oriented professionals.
  • Support and enrich our community by connecting it to the best available information resources.
  • Be a contributing partner to faculty research and instruction.
  • Offer a positive, supportive environment in which law students can thrive.

Access

The Rittenberg Law Library is only open to St. John's University School of Law employees, current students, and law school alumni studying for the July 2023 bar exam. 

Individuals not eligible for Rittenberg Law Library Access should contact one of New York’s many law libraries open to the public.
