Melissa Kubit Angelides

Melissa Kubit Angelides has been with St. John’s University School of Law since 2017 and currently serves as Interim Associate Dean for Student Services and as an adjunct law professor. At St. John’s, Dean Angelides teaches a range of courses, including Drafting: New York Civil Practice, Deposition Practice, Professional Responsibility, and Leadership for Lawyers.

 

Dean Angelides has been widely recognized for her leadership and dedication to the University community. She received the Administrative Outstanding Achievement Medal at the University’s Employee Recognition Convocation in 2023 and the St. John’s Values and Inclusion Award in 2019. In June 2024, she was honored with NALSAP’s CORE Four Award, recognizing her for exemplifying the values, ethics, and professional competencies of outstanding law student affairs professionals.

 

Dean Angelides earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Muhlenberg College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, concentrating in Litigation and Dispute Resolution, and served as Managing Editor of the Boston University Public Interest Law Journal.

 

She is deeply engaged in professional service and law student well-being initiatives. Dean Angelides is a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Disability Law Committee and serves as a volunteer Monitor with the Bar’s Lawyer Assistance Program. She currently serves as Programming Chair of the NYC-area Law School Well-Being Consortium, a collaborative of faculty and administrators dedicated to promoting law student wellness, and also serves on NALSAP’s Thriving and Nominating Committees. Her past service includes membership on the Executive Committee of the AALS Student Services Section.
