Faculty and Student in Lab

Student Research Opportunities

The research activities of St. John’s students and faculty are increasingly diverse and intense: grant dollars continue to rise; publications are flourishing; students are presenting papers at conferences. We have good reason to celebrate our accomplishments. We expect that through Research Month activities the St. John's University Community will become increasingly aware, mutually supportive, and proud of these impressive activities.

Hands-on Opportunities

Diverse, driven, and dynamic—St. John’s undergraduate and graduate students join faculty in research projects in all fields. At SJU, we focus on obtaining grant dollars, publishing scholarly work in peer-reviewed journals, and supporting students as they present at major conferences.

Student Research Center

Student Research Opportunity Center

The Student Research Opportunity Center (SROC) is an area at the main entrance to DAC where there are 2 touch screen monitors that will scroll information about the research opportunities available for students. It was created to engage more students in research and projects (high impact practice) that would afford undergraduate and graduate students internal research opportunities. Students can benefit from these opportunities by gaining knowledge and experience to support their career goals.  Our aim is to create the researchers of tomorrow. At St. John’s University, you will find a very supportive researcher environment at every level.
