Purchase Academic Attire Online with Home Ship Option

Graduates can purchase academic attire online through the Herff Jones website, here, now through Monday, April 22, 2024.

• A standard shipping cost of $14.90 will be incurred to ship attire to a student's home address.
• Standard processing / shipping can take up to 3 weeks within the continental US. International orders can take up to 4 weeks to process. 

Purchase Academic Attire In-Person

Graduates can purchase academic attire in person.

• All Graduates can go to the Campus Bookstore, during regular business hours, on the Queens Campus beginning Monday, April 29 through Commencement Day to purchase academic attire and accessories.

Cost for Academic Attire ~ 2024 (includes student's Cap with black tassel, Gown, and Hood)

If you have questions or concerns about regalia affordability, or if the cost of the regalia may prevent you from participating in the Commencement ceremony, please contact the Office of University Events at [email protected], before Friday, April 19. All inquiries will be kept confidential.

Graduates who pre-purchased their keepsake academic attire online prior to March 15th, can pickup their attire at the Campus Bookstore, Queens Campus, during regular business hours beginning Monday, April 22, 2024.

Campus Bookstore Hours:

Monday - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Tuesday - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Wednesday - 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Thursday - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Friday - 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Your pre-purchased attire is available for pick-up starting Monday, April 22, 2024 until Commencement Day!

Please note that the University does not offer cords for Latin Honors (Cum Laude, Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude).

If students already purchased academic attire and would like to request a refund, here is the Herff Jones return policy:

1. Do not open the plastic wrapper the products arrived in. Refunds will only be processed for unused products and unopened products. The student is responsible for return shipping costs.
2. Include the order number and reason for return in the package.
3. Call customer service at 1-800-837-4235 to notify the Herff Jones team the order will be returned.
4. Mail the unused products back to the return address on the package. The package must be returned within 10 days of receiving product.
5. Due to the potential high volume of return requests, please understand that refunds could be processed beyond the typical 7-10 business days after receiving product at Herff Jones.
