Students handing out clothes at Midnight Run

Midnight Run

Due to the global pandemic, and based on the directives of the University's Return to Campus Task Force released in the University’s updated plan for our campus reopening, “Preparing for the Fall Semester, Campus Ministry Vincentian service programs on campus are moving to "virtual formats," Please check back regularly for updated opportunities and efforts that will be offered.

In 1984 homelessness was rampant in New York City. While much public notice was taken of homelessness, what was not noticed was that among the homeless were some who cared for others who were less able to make their way to sources of food and clothing.

The Midnight Run program is one of the most popular services among the member of St. John’s University.  Through this experience students have a direct encounter with men and women who are willing to share their stories.  On the other hand, students are encouraged to be opened to the experience and be fully present.
