What We Do

The Center for Accounting Research and Analytics (CARA) is the home for students and faculty of the Department of Accountancy at The Peter J. Tobin College of Business. The Center is dedicated to its students' success on the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.

What is CARA?
The Center for Accounting Research and Analytics (CARA) is the home for students and faculty of the Department of Accountancy at The Peter J. Tobin College of Business. The Center is dedicated to its students' success on the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.

CARA is here to help you to register for the exam, review for the exam and pass the exam.

What services do we offer?
CARA offers CPA exam advisement for all students in a CPA licensure-qualifying program and for alumni from the most recent graduating class. CARA will help you to register for the CPA exam and to come up with an action plan to pass all four parts of the exam. That action plan includes a review program and any additional tutoring that you may need.

What CPA review programs do we offer?
CARA offers current students (BS Accounting, BS/MS Accounting, BS/MS Tax, BS/MBA Accounting, MS Accounting, MBA Accounting) and alumni from the most recent graduating class (from the aforementioned programs) the ability to participate in a CPA review program at significantly reduced cost.

Participants may select from the following five review providers:

Students must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam when registering for the program, or must become eligible at the end of the semester in which they are registering for the program.

Alumni who graduated prior to the last graduating class are eligible for substantial discounts of the retail price of the programs mentioned above.
