St. John’s Law Student Emergency Fund Application

The St. John’s Law Student Emergency Fund seeks to assist students facing unexpected emergencies that put a strain on their ability to provide for basic needs. Funding is limited, but the committee will work diligently to support students and find solutions to the varied challenges presented. If you have questions about the fund, or about general support at the law school, please contact Assistant Dean Eric W. Shannon at [email protected] or Associate Director Melissa Kubit Angelides at [email protected].  The Office of Student Financial Services can address questions related to loans. They can be reached at [email protected].

We look forward to continuing to work with you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly if we can be of help.

Thank you to AccessLex for their generous contribution of $25,000 to our Student Emergency Fund. Additionally, for the 2021-22 Academic Year, the Fund will provide financial assistance made available through the Federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF III) for students facing a financial challenge that impacts their ability to pay for basic need(s) related to the cost of their attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus.
