Liberal Studies Event was a Success!
On September 24th the College of Professional Studies hosted the 2018 LST (Liberal Studies Event). We had about 40 students attend, who learned more about what Liberal Studies, as a Bachelor’s had to offer. They learned more about the Division of English and Speech and what it would be like to be a student in the College of Professional Studies. The event’s focus was on how to help student success and transition into a major of their choice.

Students Attend The Journey Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week
New York Fashion Week has taken over New York City these past two weeks. On September 13, 2018, students from St. John's University had the opportunity to attend The Journey Fashion Show with Dr. Andrea Licari, who is the director of The Fashion Institute and ten of her St. John’s University Fashion Studies students. This event was part of Fashion Week 2018 and was hosted by Malena Belafonte, Harry Belafonte’s daughter-in Law, In Symphony Space, located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Public Safety Prepares for Disaster in Large-Scale Drill
A daunting scenario was played out on St. John’s University’s Queens campus from 9 a.m. to noon on August 11, when fire, police, and medical and emergency personnel from St. John’s and New York City joined forces to execute a massive simulation of a disaster.
