Jit Chakraborty ‘19MBA, one of four of Associate Professor of Accountancy David Y. Chan’s students, emerged as a winner at the 2018 Internal Auditing Education Partnership Exchange’s Case Competition on Sept. 16 in Orlando, Fla.

Chakraborty was on the first place team at the annual competition, in which students are required to prepare a presentation that identifies the risks and internal controls at a local business in Orlando. The ten-member team chose a coffee stand as the object of its analysis.

“The purpose of the Internal Auditing Education Partnership Exchange is to prepare students for a rewarding career in internal auditing, and this year’s Exchange achieved that,” said Chan, who also directs the Internal Auditing Education Partnership Program at Tobin. “They had a chance to engage with internal audit students and professionals from around the world.”
