Dancing, eating, and raising their glasses to toast a rousing Saturday night at the Queens campus, 548 alumni transformed the Great Lawn into a banquet hall on October 26, celebrating the new University brand and their pride in alma mater at St. John’s first Oktoberfest.
There’s a unique feeling of familiarity that exists among alumni who attended St. John’s Schermerhorn Street campus in downtown Brooklyn. The fact that the campus was primarily located in a single building contributed to the sense of closeness among students, a bond which is still apparent when alumni from that historic location come together.
Nothing says autumn quite like kicking back with old friends and enjoying some brews and brats. And at St. John’s first-ever Oktoberfest, held on the Great Lawn, alumni and friends came back to campus to do just that, as they celebrated the season in style.
