Tobin Global Destination Courses (GDC) offer exciting international study abroad opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students.

The mission of these courses is:
To create significant life experiences for our students that combine rigorous educational objectives with real world exposure to international business operations and cultures.
Each semester, the Peter J. Tobin College of Business offers exciting international study abroad opportunities through our Global Destination Courses (GDC). Students experience a rich diversity of cultures, political systems, and business perspectives while developing the critical skills to succeed in today’s global marketplace.

London, England: London Finance & Analytics Program

BUA 630: Intermediate Business Analytics (Graduate)
Travel Dates: March 2 - March 6, 2026
Travel to London with Dr. Mikael Bergbrant and Dr. Norean Sharpe to obtain firsthand insight into the inner workings of the global economy while deepening your understanding of England's role in the global marketplace. While in London, you will attend lectures and seminars at the international headquarters of major market players to enhance your appreciation for the interdependence of financial institutions around the world.
Eligibility Criteria: Successful completion of FIN 2310 (for UG FIN), FIN 607 (for GR FIN) courses and BUA602, or equivalent, (for BUA630).
Program Fee: BUA630: $1,685 (not including airfare) after receiving Dean’s Scholarship of $500. FIN634/4350: $500 (not including airfare) after receiving SMIF Scholarship of $1685 (All student account billed $2185 before scholarships*)

Embark on an unforgettable adventure through Rome with a captivating one-day excursion to the picturesque outskirts. Get unprecedented access to prestigious international accounting firms and global corporations, where you'll delve into the intricacies of international accounting principles. This immersive experience perfectly aligns with the Accounting Scholars' Program's mission to shape students into globally minded professionals, equipping them to tackle complex global accounting and taxation challenges head-on.
Program Fee: $1,535 (not including airfare) *confirmed students will receive a Dean’s Scholarship of $500

RMI 3350 (Re) Insurance Leadership in Markets and Society
Students accepted into this program will travel to London, Zurich and Munich to visit the headquarters of leading insurance companies overseas. This course prepares students for professional careers in risk management and insurance via discussions about US and foreign insurance and reinsurance operations in target countries. Classes will be delivered in a hybrid learning format with selected face-to-face meetings in Manhattan. The course anticipates a separate weekend trip to Bermuda in March 2026.
RMI 650 (Re) Insurance Leadership the Global Market
Students accepted into this program will travel to: London, Zurich and Dubai, and will visit the headquarters of leading insurance companies overseas. Eligibility Criteria: Greenberg School majors with a minimum GPA of 3.50. Students must have completed at RMI 1301 by Fall 2025. Preference is given to students who have completed more RMI courses. To be considered for admission into this course students must complete an application and interview.

Travel Dates: May 30-June 11, 2026
Eligibility: Juniors, Seniors, Tobin Graduate students, Fast track Tobin Graduate students, and St. Johns College Fast track students. (Limited to 24 students, apply early)
This immersive experience is designed to provide concrete learning outcomes that directly address the complexities of modern international commerce. Through specialized coursework and direct exposure to Italian legal and financial institutions, you will learn to navigate the European regulatory environment, understand diverse legal systems, and develop culturally sensitive management strategies.
We will also explore Italy's distinctive business culture, including its legacy of small-to-medium enterprises and its place in the global luxury market, examining how traditional craftsmanship adapts to international intellectual property and trade realities. This program will sharpen your analytical skills, enhance your cross-cultural communication abilities, and prepare you to lead effectively in diverse international settings.
Faculty Directors: Niall Hegarty (Director, Thomas J. Cox Jnr. Honors Program, Professor of Management) and Biagio Pilato (Associate Professor of Business Law)
Program Fee: $1,740 (Professor John P. Clarke is generously offering a stipend to defray the airfare cost). Students must submit a $250 non-refundable deposit by March 15, 2026.
