New Student Orientation
Welcome, Future St. John’s Students and Families
Orientation is a time where our University family comes together to welcome you to our community. During orientation, you will have a great opportunity to establish relationships with your academic deans, advisors, faculty and several University departments.
You will also learn how to find your way around campus, as well as how to take advantage of our on-campus resources. Most importantly, you will have a chance to meet fellow incoming students and current student leaders who you will build friendships that can last forever.
New Student Orientation is a two-day, overnight program. However, for students who are opposed to staying overnight on campus, there is a one session throughout the summer that does not provide overnight accommodations. The students must come back to campus at the beginning of the second day. You will find the dates for New Student Orientation below.
Please keep in mind that Orientation is a REQUIRED program for all new undergraduate students.

The first portion of New Student Orientation begins with our online program. Students who have paid a deposit to the university will have the information regarding online orientation sent to them in the coming weeks.
Both the online and the on-campus portions of New Student Orientation are mandatory. Once you complete your online portion of the program, you will be prompted to sign up for your on-campus orientation date.
