I draw on a broad range of the methods employed across psychology, linguistics, and measurement to study humans' ability to understand how our brains make sense of other people's thoughts, beliefs, perspectives, emotions, and intentions. Specifically, I study the extent to which social cognition, perspective-taking and empathy vary across individuals, how they are influenced by our life experiences, such as bilingualism and multiculturalism, how they are measured across individuals and populations, and what role they play in various real-world tasks.
