Brendan T. Conuel, Ph.D.

Dr. Conuel comes to St. John's University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy.  His research interests include Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Physics, Metaphysics, and the process philosophy of Alfred North Witehead.

His current work explores possible applications of Whiteheadian event-realist metaphysics to the hard problem of consciousness. Future research will focus on building out a metaphysical toolkit for better describing the relation between structure and event in nature.
