For more than 50 years, Samaritan Daytop Village has been wholly dedicated to improving the quality of life for New Yorkers facing adversity.
The Ron Brown Center has received a $125,000 Access Group grant that will be used to strengthen and expand the Center’s signature pipeline initiative: The Ronald H. Brown Law School Prep Program for College Students.
St. John’s University on Staten Island may sit atop a hill — Grymes Hill, to be precise — but a historic slash in the cost of tuition and new partnerships with area high schools are insuring that the current generation of Staten Island high school graduates will have a clear pathway to a private Catholic university education at a cost their families can manage.

The Center for Law and Religion at St. John’s Law has received a major grant from the Achelis and Bodman Foundation for its ongoing Tradition Project.
A celebration including oysters, strawberries, Staten Island history, and a lecture by Guggenheim Fellow Carla L. Peterson, Ph.D., Professor Emerita, University of Maryland.
All received $495,000 to support their research programs within St. John’s University.
St. John's University will be hosting “Memory and imagination of Latin America and the Caribbean through the Oral and Written Paths,” a three-day-International Conference on Literature, from Wednesday, October 12 to Friday 14, 2016.
