CPS, Television and Film Adjunct Faculty Wins Taormina Film Festival for Best Director
Filippo Piscopo, an adjunct faculty in the Division of Mass Communication (College of Professional Studies), Television and Film degree program, and Lorena Luciano won the award for Best Director at the 64th Taormina Film Festival held last July 14-20, 2008 in Sicily
High School Students Connect to “Faith and Service in the City”
Now in its second year, the Faith and Service in the City: Vincentian Leadership Institute for High School Students program at St. John’s University held its final session of the year from August 5-11, 2018. The program, which connects students with Catholic and Vincentian traditions and values, is funded by a four-year grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc.’s Theology Institutes for High School Youth Initiative.

Jarowski Symposium Sheds Light on Translating Research into Drug Therapies
Basic scientific research is the key to developing groundbreaking drug therapies, yet translating that research into an actual medication can be challenging. For this reason, the 10th Annual Dr. Charles I. Jarowski Industrial Pharmacy Symposium, held at St. John’s University on June 4, focused on the theme “Bench 2 Bedside: Advances in Delivery Technologies and Regulatory Strategies for New Drug Approval.”
