Learning Communities

Learn by experiencing with your peers.

Learning Communities at St. John’s University is based on experiential learning and building community. It is our goal for you to take what you learn, not only in the classroom—but all around New York and apply it your everyday life.

By attending exciting on and off campus events planned by your faculty member, resident assistant, and a Peer Academic Leader (P.A.L.), you will be learning in a whole new way.

About Us

Undergoing several  transformations since its inception in 2005, the Learning Communities program  currently collaborates with both faculty and residence life to provide two  unique opportunities for students to learn and interact with peers and faculty  outside of the classroom
