A Focus on the Fall Semester

An Early Start to the Semester

The Fall 2020 semester begins on Monday, August 24. Campuses will stay open through Friday, November 20. After Thanksgiving break, all classes, exams, and assessments will be held remotely. See our Academic Calendar for more details.

Flexibility for All

The choice is yours! On-campus, in-person classes, hybrid classes, and fully online classes will be available, each designed to deliver a rich St. John’s experience.

In-person classes will be held in reconfigured classrooms that accommodate social distancing. Hybrid courses give you the flexibility of attending some classes on campus and some remotely, based on your preference.

A Focus on Safety

The safety of the St. John’s community is paramount, so everyone on campus will be provided with reusable cloth face coverings.

Cleaning and sanitization across our campuses will be increased, and hand sanitizer stations will be positioned throughout. While large, in-person gatherings are limited, we will offer creative alternatives for meetings and events.

In addition, one residential building will be designated for quarantine and isolation purposes, if needed.

Updates to federal, state, and local COVID-19 guidelines may mandate that our plans evolve during the year. Current updates can be found here.
