About our Libraries

In keeping with the mission of St. John’s University, the University Libraries is committed to providing excellent service and un-fettered equitable access to its collections to all members of the University’s community.

The Main library is located on the Queens campus in St. Augustine Hall. The Queens campus is also home to the Chin Ying Asian Library and the Rittenberg Law Library. The Staten Island campus home to the Loretto Memorial Library. Most materials housed in the Main and Staten Island campus can be borrowed by the University community. The Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Library, located on the Manhattan campus, contains one of the world's largest collections on insurance, risk management and actuarial science, serving the school of risk management as well as members of the insurance industry. In addition to the digital collections available to our students and faculty, the Rome campus has a small print collection that support the students who study there.
