Overview

The EMT- B Refresher / Challenge program has adopted the National Emergency Medical Services Educational Standards and uses both on-line written and in class practical examinations to uncover areas of weakness in didactic knowledge and practical skill proficiency. The student will only be required to attend those sessions that are mandatory, and the sessions related to the challenge exam topics the student failed. There are three sessions offered per year.

All rules and regulations of the EMT refresher program will be outlined in the first session of class as outlined in the Academic Guidelines. These rules and regulations are strictly enforced as per the New York State Department of Health EMS Bureau, St. John’s University, and our accreditation agencies.

All registered students must have audio and video internet capabilities in order to participate in this course, this is a hybrid course with face to face labs.
