Yael V. Levy is Chief of the Appeals Bureau at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office. She was previously Deputy Chief of the Appeals Bureau at the Nassau County District Attorney's Office, the Principal Law Clerk to The Honorable James M. Kindler of the Bronx County Supreme Court, and a Supervisor in the Appeals Bureau of her current Office.
Levy has taught Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and the Hofstra University School of Law. She has lectured for the New York State Prosecutor’s Training Institute (“NYPTI”), the Bronx and Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, and the New York State Judicial Institute. She is the 2017 recipient of NYPTI’s Prosecutor of the Year Award for Appellate Advocacy.
Levy teaches New York Criminal Practice.
