Shuttle Bus Service

COVID-19 Update

St. John’s University continues to monitor New York City and New York State mandates regarding social distancing and best practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are consistently evaluating our services to ensure we are meeting these guidelines.

We have made the difficult decision to discontinue the University courtesy shuttle service. The social distancing guidelines in place significantly limiting the capacity on the shuttle would result in long wait times for students between shuttles and leave many students unable to be accommodated. Thank you for your understanding during these challenging times.

Public Safety will be operating a shuttle service seven days a week, from 9:30 p.m to 1:30 a.m. The shuttle will start at Public Safety/Gate 6, and drop persons off at off-campus residence halls. The shuttle begins operating on Monday, August 24, 2020 and ends on November 20, 2020.

All students will be required to display their StormCard and a cleared Covid-19 Symptom Screening check from the app. A face covering must be worn while in the shuttle van. For more information, please visit Public Safety.
