Campus Activities provides university wide programs that promote school spirit and pride. Through your involvement within Campus Activities, you will not only enjoy your collegiate experience, but you will also develop invaluable organization, communication, and leadership skills. Ebony J. Calvin serves as the Director of Campus Life. Within her role she advises the programming boards, cultural groups, and religious organizations recognized under Student Government, Inc. located on the Queens campus. She has dedicated over 10 years to advising students leaders and coordinating student activities at the University.
Ebony received her BS in Marketing from SUNY New Paltz and MBA in Executive Leadership from Tobin School of Business at St. John’s University.

Ashli Wade serves as the Assistant Director of Campus Life. She advises the special interest and social justice organizations as well as the honor societies recognized under Student Government, Inc. for the Queens campus. In addition, Ashli oversees the Campus Concierge operation located in the D'Angelo Center and produces the program Java Johnnies every Friday along with Resident Students Association.
Ashli received her BA in Psychology from St. John's University and will complete her Masters in Criminology and Justice at St. John's University in the upcoming Spring.

Commuter Student Resources
Commuter-based initiatives are designed to help you connect with the campus community and the various resources here for you at St. John’s University. Through our signature programs, commuter pride events, meet-ups, and meetings we provide commuters the platform to stay connected with each other and enjoy their St. John’s experience.
Let’s Talk is a monthly lecture series which provides the space for students to learn and develop personally and professionally. Learning how to “adult” can feel challenging, but the Let’s Talk series features experts on topics such as financial literacy, personal branding, networking and more.
In Real Life (IRL) with Campus Activities is the new and improved hybrid event experience you do not want to miss. You can tune into @SJUactivities Live to connect with social media influencers, St. John’s Students, and the Campus Activities team for the ultimate DIY at home activation or RVSP to attend in person. You can discover how to cook a traditional dish, paint a Picasso, curate a music beat, or how to wear the latest trends.
Studio C, formerly known as Java Johnnies is Campus Activities’ way to showcase creatives and artists in our community and beyond. We’re connecting the St. John’s community with live music, art and more on select Fridays throughout the semester at 6pm. Experience performances, interviews and curated content just for St. John’s from a venue on campus or the comfort of your own home!
Red Carpet Welcome is a month-long series of programs including an outdoor movie, fitness classes, the activities fair, athletic events and more to welcome St. John’s students.
Fall Fest is an autumn tradition epitomizing the true St. John’s spirit. Events highlight St. John’s pride and include athletic events, social activities, career development opportunities, Family Weekend, and alumni events.
Winter Carnival celebrates the rich holiday traditions of different cultural backgrounds, faiths, and religious beliefs. The week’s highlights include the annual tree lighting and on- campus fireworks display.
Spring Month is a series of events near the end of the semester celebrating the end of the academic year and featuring events organized by our Student Organizations.
Each month Campus Activities hosts a virtual CORE workshop, facilitated by experts and professionals in a variety of different fields. Individuals who violate the engagement etiquette rules will be prohibited from participating in future initiatives and referred to the Office of Student Conduct.
The University encourages every member of the community to report bias. For nonemergency situations, any member of the University community can use the online reporting form available at www.stjohns.edu/reportbias. This form may be completed anonymously, but be sure to include as much information as possible so that the University can respond. Bias reports can also be made to the Office of Human Resources, Equal Opportunity and Compliance, and can be reached at 718-990-1865 (press 4).
