St. John's Serves

St. John’s Serves is a department with Student Affairs that is committed to serving the University community with service opportunities, veterans affairs, and student engagement.

Inspired by St. Vincent de Paul’s teachings, St. John’s Serves embodies the University’s Vincentians values through service. Our service opportunities allow students to serve and reflect upon the needs of others in and around the greater New York City area.

St. John’s Serves is home to over 375 of our student veterans. We provide support and promote academic excellence through advisement, development, and addressing daily needs and concerns. Advising the Student Veterans Association allows us to help facilitate veterans programming and campus-wide engagement.

St. John’s Serves strives to engage our students and promote University traditions. Our events empower and inspire students to continue the St. John’s student traditions and learn what it is like to be a lifelong Johnny. Attend an academic lecture, a Johnny’s Club, or a viewing party and become a part of the tradition that is St. John’s University!
