First Year Student Orientation

During orientation, you will have a great opportunity to establish relationships with your academic deans, advisors, faculty, and many University departments.

This summer, before you arrive to campus, you will complete Online Orientation modules that will help familiarize you with campus resources and introduce you to student life. Next, you will join us on-campus for your Orientation Connection Day, where you will learn how to find your way around campus, and have a chance to meet fellow incoming students and current student leaders who will welcome you as a new member of our community. This is also an opportunity to establish relationships with your academic advisors, and many University departments. Students will be issued their StormCard (University ID) during Orientation.

Registration for Orientation Connection Days will be available for students who have accepted their admission and will be announced via email soon. Please note that in order to register for Orientation, you must have paid your deposit. View the New Student Guide Checklist for deposit deadline and other important information.

We look forward to meeting you and all of the newest members of the St. John's family, and sharing what’s to come during your fall semester.
