St. John's University Information System
The University Information System (UIS) is where you can find and manage your personal web profile, employee related matters such as parking permits and employee benefits, phone numbers, email address and biographical data. You can access UIS at http://www.stjohns.edu/uis.
Changing Network or Email Password
While you are logged on to your computer Hold down the Alt, Ctrl and Delete keys and click on the change password button. You'll be prompted to enter the old password and then a new password. You will need to confirm the new password in a third box. Please note the password must be at least 6 characters, digits or a combination of both.
All St. John's School of Law faculty and staff will automatically receive a network account. The login name for the network is the first seven letters of the last name and the first initial. For instance, John Smith's network login name would be smithj. The initial password for your network account is Sj and your Storm Card ID#. Please feel free to contact the IT hotline at 718-990-1430 if you have any difficulty accessing the network.
Network Storage Space
Faculty and Staff members of St. John's University School of Law have 100 MB of storage space available on their Network Drives.
Email Storage Space
The default Mailbox size for all St. John's University employees is 500MB. However with archiving capability of Microsoft Outlook you can save unlimited amount of email in your personal archived folders. The School of Law IT department can assist you with archiving old email when needed.
All classrooms in the School of Law are equipped with wireless internet access, network accessible computers, overhead projectors, document cameras, video cassettes and DVD players. Our Staff is available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays, should you need assistance using any of the equipment.
Please remember to turn off all equipment and log off the podium computers at the end of your class.
