Join us for our 2018 Rome Summer Study Abroad Program at the St. John’s University Rome Campus in historic Prati, Rome.
Spend 4 weeks and earn 6 credits studying international and comparative law. Choose from:
- Global Professional Responsibility (satisfies St. John’s PR requirement)
- International Art & Cultural Heritage Law
- International Litigation in U.S. Courts
- Transnational Civil Litigation Drafting (satisfies St. John’s APW requirement)
- Transnational Employment Relations Law
Visit Italian courts, cultural institutions, museums, historic sites, ancient ruins.
Meet and discuss the law with Italian law professors, students, and attorneys.
Experience la bella vita strolling the winding streets of Rome.
In summer 2017, Rome Program participants visited the Corte Suprema di Cassazione (the Supreme Court of Italy), the Carabinieri Art Crime Headquarters, and the Villa Giulia National Etruscan Museum. They engaged in a roundtable discussion about a recent Italian Constitutional Court decision with their Italian peers, professors, and practitioners, and enjoyed a gourmet walking food tour of Prati. They spent their free time exploring the landmarks of Rome and Italy. Watch our video from the 2017 Rome Program here.
The 2018 Rome Program will run from May 27 to June 26, 2018.
The Program schedule is designed to accommodate participants’ opportunity for a summer work experience during July and August 2018. Career Development Counselors work with St. John’s Law students to obtain legal internships and research assistantships, among other rewarding positions, in the Tri-State area after the Rome Program concludes.
