2018 Summer Study Abroad Program Application

The 2018 Rome Program will run from May 27 - June 26. The Program cost is $5700. Final payment is due by April 20, 2018.

In addition to the application form, each applicant must submit the following:

  • A $500 deposit (applied to the Program cost)

You may submit the depost in the following ways:

  1. By credit card. Contact the St. John’s Call Center, at 718-990-2000, with your credit card information. You must specify that you are paying the $500 deposit for the “Study Abroad Law Program Fee.” Shortly afterward, you will receive an e-mail with receipt of payment. Please be sure to forward this receipt to the Registrar’s Office at [email protected] and to me at [email protected]You will receive a bill with the remaining balance after you are registered for courses. 
  2. By check. Make your $500 check payable to St. John’s University School of Law, and send it to the attention of Professor Elyse Pepper at: Rm. 4-25, St. John’s University School of Law, 8000 Utopia Parkway, Queens, NY 11439. You will receive a bill with the remaining balance after you are registered for courses.

For non-St. John’s Law Students: an official law school transcript and a letter from the Dean’s Office of the Law School in which she or he is currently enrolled, certifying (a) that the applicant will have completed at least one year of law study by May 27, 2018; (b) that the applicant is a student in good standing; and (c) that the applicant has permission to take the courses for credit.

Course Selection

Six courses are offered. You may take a maximum of 6 credits. To be eligible for federal financial aid, St. John’s law students must take 6 credits. We will make every effort to accommodate requests; however, due to class size limits, we cannot guarantee that all students will receive their top choices. International Art & Cultural Heritage Law excursions are open to all students in the Program.
