Enrollment and Housing Deposit

St. John’s University is now accepting enrollment and housing deposits for new undergraduate students through the online student portal.

To submit your undergraduate enrollment and/or housing deposit, log into your student portal here. 

Upon logging into your portal, the "Payment Due" amount may reflect both the enrollment and St. John’s University housing deposits. If you plan to live on the St. John’s University Queens campus, please submit both your $300 non-refundable enrollment deposit and $400 non-refundable housing deposit. If you do not plan to live on campus, only submit the non-refundable $300 enrollment deposit, and disregard the St. John’s University housing deposit option. 

Once your payment has been accepted, you will receive an email confirmation of your payment.

Online with credit card or electronic check:

• Submit your non-refundable enrollment confirmation deposit online by logging into St. John's University Information System, UIS.
   

• User ID
  Your St. John’s University Student Identification Number (X-ID or X-Number, which you would have received on your letter of acceptance). You must enter all 9 characters and include the capital X.
   
• PIN
  • For all students who have previously logged into UIS, your PIN is the one you have previously chosen.
  • For students who have not previously logged into UIS, your default PIN is a capital letter S, lowercase j + the eight digits of your X-ID, without the X, as in Sj01234567.
    • Once logged in, please change your PIN by clicking the Personal Information Menu.
       
• To pay your deposit, select Student > New Student Information > Enrollment and Housing Deposits
   
• There will be two drop-down menus on the screen:
  • "Select a term" > Select your start term from the drop-down menu
  • "Select a Deposit Payment" > Select the type of deposit you wish to make from drop-down menu
    • For GRADUATE PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT > Select Phys Assist Seat Deposit
    • For ALL OTHER GRADUATE SCHOOLS ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT > Select Fall Graduate Enrollment Deposit
    • For GRADUATE HOUSING DEPOSIT (ALL COLLEGES) > Select Fall Graduate Housing Deposit
    • For SCHOOL OF LAW ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT > Select Fall Law Seat Deposit
    • For GRADUATE LAW LLM ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT > Select Grad Law LLM Seat Deposit
    • For SCHOOL OF LAW HOUSING DEPOSIT > Select Fall Law Housing Deposit
       
•  From there, click Deposits and eDeposits on the toolbar to make the payment.

By phone:

• Submit over the phone (you will need your X-ID number) through our Customer Service Center at 718-990-2000

By check:

• To ensure timely receipt of your enrollment and/or housing deposit, it is strongly encouraged that you submit your deposits online or over the phone. Mailed checks may be sent to:

  • Student’s full name as it appears on the admission application
