As the daughter of immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic, Melissa Sanchez knows the true meaning of hard work.

Melissa is a Legal and Compliance Subject Matter Expert. She is the Vice President of Global Financial Crimes for the Bank of Tokyo where she is responsible for mitigating the bank’s risk and exposure to federal regulatory violation.  Melissa strategically analyzes Sanctions issues and advises on proper course of action. She previously worked as a Senior Anti-Money Laundering Consultant for Deloitte, LLP and as a Senior Compliance Officer for J.P. Morgan. 

Melissa is a sought after speaker and panelist on a range of topics including: women in the workforce, diversity, and inclusion, and strategic business development. She has been featured on numerous syndicated radio shows dedicated to highlighting inspiring women in the New York City area.

She is the founder of The Sanssa Network, a groundbreaking company dedicated to fostering corporate sponsor partnerships, and supplier diversity consulting.

Melissa holds a Juris Doctor from Touro Law School where she was named Best Oral Advocate, and a Bachelor of Science from St. John’s University, College of Professional Studies. She is the 2018 recipient of the St. John’s University Distinguished Young Alumna Award.
