Managing Director, Investment Banking Information Technology – Operations IT, Barclays Int’l

Augusta Sanfilippo has over 30 years of investment banking technology experience. She has worked in key financial institutions providing strategic leadership, creating strong partnerships and building innovative global technology solutions as part of large change programs.  Her efforts have led to significant savings and processing efficiencies for the Global Markets Operations division, automating front to back trading flows and breaking down silos across organizations.   

Augusta is Global Head of Markets Operations Technology at Barclays International. She supports markets post trade processing across multiple asset classes and post trade functions including the reconciliation and tax reporting shared services functions.  Her team has been recognized with the best risk system for implementing a strategic risk based exception management system streamlining critical exception processing for global markets operations. She also leads the buildout of the markets post trade operations front to back target state architecture initiative. Augusta is the co-lead of Women in Technology (Americas) and the COO Diversity & Inclusion Brand and Reputation Committee.

As a proud alumnus, Augusta serves on the St. John’s Collins College of Professional Services Advisory Board since 2009. She was a board member of the Women's Bond Club from 2013-2018. She currently serves on the Rutgers University Cyber Security Advisory Board since 2018 and recently joined the Catholic Guardian Services board of directors.    

Augusta is an advocate for the FIRST Robotics nonprofit organization which is focused on inspiring young people to be science and technology leaders and has been a judge at the FIRST events in NYC. She lives in Long Island with her husband and two children.
