The mission of the St. John's University Collins College of Professional Studies Advisory Board is, among other things, to assist the Dean:
- By strategically thinking about and providing feedback regarding CCPS academic programs, curriculum, alumni outreach, resource allocation, and proposed operating budgets
- By assessing challenging situations, suggesting innovative solutions, identifying opportunities, and leveraging the CCPS brand
- By promoting a positive image of CCPS among present and prospective students as well as among alumni and the public (locally, nationally, and globally)
- By recommending ways in which to enhance relations among CCPS's faculty, students, administrators, and leading individuals and offices within St. John's University, the business community, and the outside academic community
- By reviewing financial and quarterly progress reports against CCPS stated goals
