The M.B.A. with a concentration in Real Estate is designed to deliver the knowledge, skills, and technical competencies specific to the real estate industry, and to provide a comprehensive foundation in the financial, management and operational aspects of a career in the real estate industry. Graduates will gain an understanding of the fluctuating real estate market and differentiate themselves from their peers in this competitive industry. Along with small, engaging classes led by top-tier faculty, the program incorporates experiential learning and a multitude of opportunities for students to interact with industry leaders. The real estate faculty will incorporate their unique insights and professional expertise into course teachings, offering an engaging curriculum rooted in industry applications.
Applicants to the Tobin College of Business Graduate programs* will automatically be considered for GMAT/GRE waivers once they submit their application, transcript, and resume for the 2021 academic year.
* MS Finance and MS Actuarial Science applicants are required to submit the GMAT/GRE
The MBA curriculum is designed to allow for innovative approaches to in-class learning and expands on the development of a real world skill-set that students can apply immediately to their emerging careers.
The MBA Structure is as follows:
8 Core Courses (24 credits)
1 Required Capstone Course (3 credits)
3 Concentration Field Courses (9 credits)
Students select three courses in real estate from the following list of courses:
Maximum Courses & Credits: 12 Courses, 36 Credits
Estimated Time to Complete: 3 Years for part-time; 3 semesters for full-time
All students must have, as a minimum academic credential, the equivalent of a United States' bachelor's degree and demonstrated competency in pre-calculus mathematics and basic computer use. Students are evaluated based on their undergraduate academic performance, score on the GMAT, professional accomplishments, letters of recommendation, statements of professional goals and other materials which the candidate may wish to share with the Admissions Committee.
All applicants must possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or the international equivalent prior to enrollment at the graduate level. In addition to the application form and non-refundable application fee candidates should submit the following:
