Study Abroad Affordability

Is your school a St. John's “partner institute”?

St. John’s has partnership agreements with colleges and universities around the country. If you’re not sure about yours, feel free to contact us to see if your school already has an agreement with us. If so, you’ll pay your home school directly—contact your home school study abroad advisor for pricing and aid information.

Not from a St. John's partner school? No worries!

You can still study abroad with us!  Visiting students from non-partner schools pay the same rate as St. John’s students—and are eligible for St. John's financial aid.

You may receive up to $7,500 in merit- and/or need-based financial aid toward a semester-long program with us. Merit-based awards are available to students with GPAs of 3.0 or higher, and all qualified students will receive at least $3,000. Need-based awards require submission of short essay (roughly 250 words) explaining your circumstances; you¹ll then be eligible for awards ranging up to the full $7,500. Visiting students attending summer programs abroad may be eligible for up to $1,500 in grants and scholarships toward a 3-credit course.

In addition, you can keep your federal financial aid when you study abroad with St. John’s. All you need to do is send us a Consortium Agreement from your home school’s financial aid office. We’ll fill it out and your financial aid office will do the rest!

We want to make St. John¹s programs affordable to you, so please contact us if you have any questions!
