Susan Rabinowicz, PT, DPT, MS, PhD is an Assistant Professor for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at St. John’s University, in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. Rabinowicz received her doctorate in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences from SUNY Stony Brook University in 2017, with a concentration in Behavioral and Community Health. Her clinical experience is in pediatric physical therapy, with a focus on early intervention. Engagement with community organizations that focus on equitable distribution of resources and services to families and young children is a particular interest of Dr. Rabinowicz. Her research focuses on the practice and science of knowledge translation. Fostering relationships among educators, researchers, practitioners, students, and community leaders, in a social environment, to develop actionable research findings guides Dr. Rabinowicz’s research agenda. Dr. Rabinowicz’s teaching interests are in the areas of pediatrics, psychosocial aspects of practice, learning theories and community health, wellness, and prevention.
