Dr.Patrick A. Casabona holds a B.A. in Economics, Iona College; M.B.A. in Economics, Baruch College, an additional MBA in Finance and Ph D. in finance and economics from the Graduate School of the City University of New York, and Advanced Professional Graduate Certificate in Accounting, Saint John’s University. He is a full tenured professor in the Department of Accounting & Taxation of the Tobin College of Business, where he teaches financial accounting and financial statement analysis courses and former Associate Dean and Director of all Graduate Business programs at Saint John's. He also serves as Treasurer for the Patrick Casabona Jr., Memorial Scholarship Foundation and Economic and Financial Consultant for certain prominent New York Law firms. Dr Casabona has presented over 100 accounting, finance, and economic papers at academic and professional forums, has published over 60 peer-reviewed proceedings, 35 abstracts, about fifty monographs), six chapters in books, over 35 journal articles published on the FASB website, and a co-authored an accounting book, Investment Pricing Methods, which was sponsored by the FASB. Professor Casabona has also served as Special Accounting Issue Editor for the Review of Business many times. Dr. Casabona has previously worked as a Senior Manager and consultant in the Professional Development and Auditing group at Deloitte and Touche LLP, for 30 years, where he developed over 75 complex accounting and finance learning modules, a Financial Economist for General Motors Corporation, in the Treasurer's office, a systems and management Procedures Analyst for the Board of Education, Bureau of Supportive Services, and served as a member of the Board of Economic Advisors of the New York State Assembly Ways and Means Committee, for the State of New York. Dr. Casabona has received a number of academic and business awards and honors. In Spring 2018 his Department of Accountancy voted his Self Assessment of Teaching Philosophy, Pedagogical Growth, and Contributions to Instructional Needs as Excellent.
