Meghan Dunn, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Dunn comes to St. John's University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rhetoric, Communication, and Theatre.  She received her Ph.D. in Communication Studies (Rhetoric) from the University of Colorado at Boulder and M.A. in Communication Studies (Rhetoric) from the University of Texas at Austin.  She specializes in rhetorical theory and investigates how information, knowledge, or truth(s) are conducted through emergent technologies or 'novel' media, especially by marginalized communities in times of disaster, crisis and political upheaval.

Before coming to St. John's, Dr. Dunn served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the New York City College of Technology.  She also worked for the United Nations as an Innovation Research Analyst in the Office of Information and Communications Technology and as an Information Management Specialist in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations and Field Support.
