Linda T. Chin

Criminal Justice, Legal Studies and Homeland Security
Professor Linda T. Chin is presently Associate Professor in the Division of Criminal Justice, Legal Studies and Homeland Security. Before Coming to St. John's University, Professor Chin served as Special Counsel to the President and Dean of Faculty and Staff Relations at Hunter College. Professor Chin also practiced corporate law at Con Edison and served as General Counsel for the New York State Judicial Commission on Minorities. She also served as the Director of Personnel for the Division of High Schools of the New York City Department of Education. Professor Chin’s research interest is in the area of Elder Law. She recently received a grant to conduct research on the Chinese elderly in connection with advance directives. Professor Chin has given presentations on issues related to Elder Law and has also provided pro-bono legal assistance to senior citizen centers. Professor Chin received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the City College of New York, and her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. She also received a Master of Arts in Languages and Literature from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Pace University.
