Suzanne Cope, Ph.D.
Dr. Cope comes to St. John's Universtiy as an Assistant Professor in the Institute for core Studies/English Composition. Dr. Cope earned her Ph.D. in adult learning and development from Lesley University. she has taught writing at the undergraduate level for a decade. She is author of the book, Small Batch (Rowman & Littlefield, 2014), and the upcoming book, Feeding the Revolution. Her research interests include innovative writing pedagogy, digital humanities, and the rhetoric of social commentary, with recent and upcoming articles in Writing & Pedagogy, new Directions in Teaching and Learning, and the book, Blurred Lines: Digital Reading and Writing in Composition Studies. she is also a narrative journalist whose work has appeared in the New York Times, The Atlantic NPR, and the BBC, among other publications.
