Dr. Nikhil Yadav received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He received his Masters degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, and his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Systems and Networks from the National University of Lesotho, Southern Africa. He is currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Division of Computer Science, Mathematics and Science at St. John’s University.
His research interests lie in the areas of health informatics, mobile and pervasive computing, mobile healthcare systems, scalable web services, and cloud systems. He is currently involved in projects creating novel, mobile health assessment systems and applications that apply predictive analytics to data collected through mobile platforms for knowledge discovery.
Dr. Yadav has held software engineering and consulting positions in industry. He also co-founded a technology startup based on his research as a doctoral student at the University of Notre Dame, which looked at identifying correlations between speech and concussions. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and has served as paper reviewer and panel chair for international conferences and workshops.
