Dr. Mantione serves as the Director of the Doctor of Pharmacy Program and is a Clinical Professor of community pharmacy practice at St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Queens, New York. She practices as a clinical pharmacist at the King Kullen Pharmacy and Wellness Place in Levittown, New York. She is a past Chairperson of the New York State Board of Pharmacy and continues to serve as an extended member of the Board. Dr. Mantione holds certifications as a provider and trainer in Pharmacy Based Immunization Delivery and Medication Therapy Management. Dr. Mantione is an active member of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). She has served APhA as a media advisor, advisor to the St. John’s Chapter of the Academy of Student Pharmacists, and as a member of several Editorial Advisory Boards. She was named as a Fellow of the American Pharmacists Association in 2016. For NABP, she currently serves on the Advisory Committee on Examinations, and has served as an item writer and reviewer for NAPLEX and NYS MPJE, as well as several task forces to explore new opportunities for the association.

Dr. Mantione’s teaching and research experience focuses on patient education and counseling on prescription and nonprescription medication use, immunizations, pedagogy and curricular design and assessment. Her practice involves the oversight of King Kullen’s Medication Therapy Management and immunization programs. She has extensive experience in the development and implementation of clinical services in the community pharmacy setting.

Dr. Mantione graduated from St. John’s University with her BS in Pharmacy in 1996 and her Doctor of Pharmacy in 1998. She completed a community pharmacy practice residency at the University of Maryland in 1999 and has been a member of the St. John’s University faculty ever since.
