Juan C. Gonzalez is a private practitioner with the law firm of Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin & Spratt, LLP focusing on general liability defense, including products liability, construction litigation, professional liability, catastrophic torts (personal and premises) and insurance defense, coverage work, and regularly handles trial and appellate matters in state and federal courts in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Gonzalez served as a Court Attorney for the New York State Court of Appeals from 2006 to 2007, and thereafter through 2008 as a Senior Law Clerk to the Honorable Theodore T. Jones, Jr. He is admitted to the New York bar (2007) and the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Gonzalez earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Literature from the City University of New York at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2002, and his Juris Doctor from The University of Connecticut School of Law in 2006, where he placed first in the William H. Hastie Moot Court Competition, was a Dean’s Scholar, served as a Director of the Connecticut Moot Court Board, and was the Managing Editor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law.
