Eric Stoller

Our keynote presenter is Eric Stoller, a higher education writer, consultant and speaker. Eric frequently presents keynotes and workshops on the use of digital technologies for strategic communications, learning, and engagement and uses his own social media presence to share resources and curate content. For the past 9 years, he has been the Student Affairs and Technology blogger for Inside Higher Ed. Eric is a keen proponent of teaching students, staff, and faculty about digital identity development and is especially interested in the interplay between organizational culture and the adoption of new technologies for enhancing the student experience.

Digital Dissonance - Learning to Embrace Change and Enhance the Student Experience 
Today’s learning environment is filled to the brim with all things digital. As technologies emerge and evolve, so do the expectations of learners. This can provide opportunities for experimentation and growth as well as moments of dissonance and challenge. In his keynote talk, Eric Stoller will share stories of student success, provide a nuanced view of digital transformation and give tangible examples of how digital is used to enhance the student experience.

Faculty as Leaders of Innovation in Teaching and Learning 
Lawrence C. Ragan, Ph.D., is the Director at Center for Online Innovation in Learning (COIL) at Penn State University, where he helps direct the Center's mission of research, scholarship, technology innovation, and leadership development programming. He has been a part of the creation and management of Penn State's World Campus since it's inception in 1998, serving as Director for Instructional Design and Development and Director of Faculty Development.

, Director, Open SUNY Center for Online Teaching Excellence.  Alexandra Pickett is a pioneer in instructional design and faculty development for asynchronous web-based teaching and learning environments. Since 1994, Ms. Pickett has led the development of the instructional design methods, support services, and resources used by SUNY.

Additionally, she serves as faculty for the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning and serves on the EdSurge Advisory Group, the Executive Strategic Council for IMS Global Learning Consortium and on the Leadership Advisory Board for the Center for Learning Innovations & Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS).
