GBRS's first panel, “FINTECH: What Matters Now?” was moderated by Salvatore Moccia, founder of fintechnews.org and Professor at UNIR la Rioja, Spain. The panelists were: Teresa Alarcos, founder and President of Madrid Start up Community Forum, Montse Guardia, Digital Challenge and Emerging Technologies Director at Sabadell Bank; Julapa Jagtiani, Senior Special Advisor, Supervision, Regulation and Credit, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia; and Edwin Colella, Vice President Mobility in OCTO Telematics. The Peter J. Tobin College of Business’s 13th annual Global Business Research Symposium, held at St. John’s University’s Rome campus on June 13-15, attracted 73 participants from 11 countries. The theme of this year’s GBRS was The Future of Business: Technology, Innovation and Regulation.
