On Tuesday, March 9, at 3:08 a.m., the Department of Public Safety received an alarm originating from the Dr. Andrew J. Bartilucci Center, located at 175-05 Horace Harding Expressway in Queens, while the building was closed and unoccupied. Public Safety personnel responded to the center and began an investigation.
A male was observed on camera forcing open an exterior door and entering the building. Once inside, the male damaged three additional doors. No property was removed.
Officers from the New York City Police Department (NYPD) responded and a search of the building and parking area was conducted. The male was located in the parking area and arrested for burglary by the NYPD without further incident.
