On Thursday, September 1, 2022, at approximately 5:30 p.m., St. John’s University’s Department of Public Safety received a report of a purse being stolen and the subsequent unauthorized use of credit cards. A preliminary investigation was conducted resulting in the below information being obtained.
On Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 3:40 p.m., in an office on the fourth floor of the School of Law, the person pictured below entered a professor’s office and removed her purse. At approximately 4:10 p.m., the professor began receiving alerts of possible fraudulent credit card charges and then realized that her purse was missing.
The New York City Police Department responded and is actively investigating this incident as a grand larceny. The Department of Public Safety is assisting with the investigation and has learned that the individual pictured below is responsible for the theft of the purse.

Protect your valuables by locking your property (e.g., cellphones, handbags, laptops, wallets, etc.) in a secured location. Never leave personal belongings unattended. If you observe any type of suspicious activity on or off campus, immediately notify 911 and Public Safety.
