On Friday, April 23, 2021, at 12:56 a.m., the Department of Public Safety received a report of a physical assault occurring in DaSilva Hall. Public Safety Officers responded and requested the assistance of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Officers from the NYPD responded with EMS personnel. No arrests were effected and two students were removed to the hospital, treated and released. One student was diagnosed with a fractured hand while the other was treated for abrasions and bruises. Public Safety continues to investigate this incident with the assistance of the Office of Student Conduct.
