The Department of Public Safety received a complaint on Tuesday, March 19, concerning the theft of property from a University employee’s unattended handbag located in an office in The Peter J. Tobin College of Business. The employee reported noticing at 3:08 a.m. on Monday, March 18, that $80 was missing from the handbag.
Public Safety conducted an investigation and determined the female pictured below entered the building at 2:57 a.m., and exited at 3:14 a.m., after allegedly completing the theft. The female then walked to Gate 1B and exited the campus at 3:38 a.m. The female was wearing a backpack with the name “SMITH 5” printed on the bag.
Public Safety would like to speak to the female pictured below in connection with this incident. If she is seen on campus, or if you have any information concerning this incident, please notify Public Safety immediately at 718-990-5252.
Protect your valuables by locking your property (e.g., laptops, wallets, cell phones, handbags, etc.) in a secured location. Never leave personal belongings unattended.
