In newly released rankings by U.S. News & World Report, St. John’s University was ranked #41 in the category of “Best Online Master’s in Criminal Justice Programs.” This marks the first time that the Master of Professional Studies (M.P.S.) in Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Leadership program, offered by The Lesley H. and William L. Collins College of Professional Studies, was ranked in this category.
The 2022 edition of the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Online Programs includes high rankings for several St. John’s University’s distance-education offerings. Online education is an affordable and flexible option for graduate education programs that is especially appealing to working professionals.

An expanding variety of career-track opportunities in assorted fields are available to graduates including corporate and institutional security, correctional services, counterterrorism and intelligence, court administration, fraud investigations, homeland security, and police service. These positions are at the local, state, and federal levels of government and in the private and nonprofit sectors.
U.S. News & World Report evaluates degree-granting online programs at regionally accredited institutions. Online programs at more than 1,700 colleges and universities were assessed as part of this year’s rankings.
